Also you can't explore that area unless you use nectrotic too! So using nectrotic gives the opportunity to explore that mission map too.

Leave a monk at the Ghost, other 5 players kill the bosses after the waves stop. Did hard mode that way.
For exploring, I just left the whole team at the Ghost and ran around the edge of the map.
Didn't need NT either time.

i've done it with traversal.. without its nearly impossible .. only when making this mission 2 times after another, 1 run for each own goal, this mission is one of the easiest of all. in both modes >.>
1st Run.. just make the mission, have a Spirit Spammer and a MM with you, 2 monks a tank and whatever els, ele, ranger or whatever you want and the mission is a piece of cake, because you simple overwhelm everything.
combine those classes maybe with soem domination mesmer skills to get quick rid of forgotten eles (backfire) and just ignore the wurms and let the monks keep an eye on the ghost naturally.
With pve only skills like UB, PI and the asura Summons as additional help, or the ebon sin and this mission will be made even blind XD
Then on second run..you take just the same group, but all of you change to secondary necromancer and just take in the necrotic traversal skill (unskilled in attributed, doesn't need to be strong, must only teleport you, use points for somethign better)
then you start mission again...don't kill enemy ghost, flag own ghost far away, just ignore the enemy ghost and run to the north end, to where you can see one of the 3 general bosses.
when your team is lucky, someone of you can lure him then with a long bow to you, when your ele is then right skilled and someone has then ebon assasin, then slow them down, cripple them and use the assasins on them, when they runned to you, before the dumb AI lets them run away like cowards. When you can#t lure them, then move around in the near a bit, maybe with luck you will get some scarabs to get popped up, which you can kill instead of the general boss and his companions.
Once anything in your near got killed, it will become much easier, because then can traverse one of you to the other side and lure for sure easily some scarabs to the others or the genral ect. to that you can kill them all, until enough corpses are there for everyone to traverse...once all have traversed, the bonus is the most cheap thing which you will have ever seen...
When making the bonus, let the MM change to an SS, because the scarabs in HM will steal with veratas gaze your minions (if i remember right) in NM it can be still a MM and then oyu overwhelm on the other side simple everything.. enough scrabs there to keep up your bone army ^^
But when you make the bonus, use the chance also direct, to EXPLORE the whole side... there is a big area to explore, that gives together like 1,2-1,4% or so
PS: when making without traversal, its only possible with Ursans and 1 good Bonder Monk, that can keep an eye on hisself and the ghostly hero alone, whiel all the others rush out killing the generals, after the first waves of forgotten were killed., but then you will never have enough time, to use your chance to explore fully the area.

Yeah, bond the ghost with one hero and leave them in the gateway to the area (they keep all the bonds even when they have no energy left, probably a bug, but also bugged with signet of devotion which doesn't give them the energy for maintaining the bonds when out of range). After that you're free to kill the incoming mobs and kill the generals, with enough time left over to play with the wurms.
'tis a breeze in NM. I've only attempted once in HM and it was easy then, but my partner and I were using Ursan so it's not so easy to tell if it's actually difficult normally or not.
difficult bonus if your party is not specced specifically for it, but easy otherwise.
Personally, I have never used the traversal trick.
